この度リバーシティ21新川1階のエントランスに画家として活躍されている綾海氏にリバーシティ21新川のリノベーションで出た廃材素材を用いた絵画を制作いただきました。完成を記念して、お披露目と、皆様にエコアートを体験いただけるイベントを開催いたします。
リバーシティ21新川で発生したタイルの廃材を活用し、バインダー(展色剤)と混ぜて絵の具を制作した後、完成した絵の具を使って実際に試し描きしながらエコアートを体験いただけます。
綾海氏より素材についての講話をいただきながら、作品の制作工程を体験していただくことで、より作品を身近に感じていただけるような内容となっております。

綾海氏を講師にお迎えし、リバーシティ21新川に新しく展示されるエコアートの作品鑑賞や実際にエコアートの制作工程を体験いただけるワークショップを開催いたします。
本イベントは、リバーシティ21イーストタワーズⅠおよび新川にお住まいの皆様にご参加いただけます。

イベント内容
綾海氏より素材についての講話をいただきながら、作品の制作工程を体験していただくことで、より作品を身近に感じていただけるような内容となっております。リバーシティ21新川で発生したタイルの廃材を活用し、バインダー(展色剤)と混ぜて絵の具を制作した後、完成した絵の具を使って実際に試し描きしながらエコアートを体験いただけます。簡単に体験いただけるプログラムですので、お子様も大歓迎です。持ち物は必要なく、手ぶらでご参加頂けます。

展覧会「綾海さん制作のエコアート」
綾海さんが制作されたエコアートを実際に鑑賞いただけます。当日は特別に綾海さんの作品をいくつか展覧いただいける予定です。そちらもお楽しみに！
- 作品鑑賞
〈作品解説〉
マンションのリノベーションの際に廃棄される予定だった素材で、隅田川の街と桜を表現。
「和室の襖」をキャンバスに、
「壁紙」を下地に、
「キッチンタイル」を白い絵の具に、
「電気配線の銅線」を青緑の絵の具に変えている。
廃材から描く事は、私たちが生活する社会環境や自然環境に対する認識を広げるための彼女の表現方法である。

綾海氏
1996 年生まれ。長崎県出身。キャンピングカーで生活。訪れた先で、地域で抱える課題や生産者の想いに向き合い「観る人に未来を考えてもらう作品」をその土地で取れる廃材を使って制作している。様々な課題や想い、現状を正しく全国に届けるアートを通したメッセンジャーとして活動。
〈活動の想い〉
2020年沖縄の珊瑚の現状を知り、環境について考えるようになる。自分の絵が何かの役に立てばという思いで廃材をアートに変える旅を始めるが、廃材元をめぐるたびに、廃材は「結果」でしかないのだと知る。廃材が廃材になった社会課題がそこにはあった。しかも、その社会課題は普段生活していても意識をしないような事ばかりだった。一人ひとりが意識すると、社会課題を解決する大きな一歩になる。その意識をもたらすきっかけを絵で作れないかと考える。自身の発信のために作品は手元に置いているが、たくさんの人が観られる場所、作品と強い結びつきのある場所に展示いただく場合に販売している。

Eco art event
We are pleased to announce that we are collaborating with Ayami, an active painter who has created a painting at the entrance of the first floor of River City 21 Shinkawa, using waste materials from the renovation of River City 21 Shinkawa.
To commemorate the completion of the painting, we will hold an event to unveil the painting and to allow everyone to experience eco art.
After creating paints by mixing crushed tiles from River City 21 Shinkawa with a binder (an adhesive that holds the pigment together), visitors will be able to try their hand at painting with the finished paints and experience eco art.
The program is designed to make participants feel more familiar with the artworks by experiencing the process of creating them while listening to a lecture by Ayami about the materials.
Outline
A workshop will be held with Ayami, where participants can view the new eco-artworks to be exhibited at River City 21 Shinkawa and actually experience the creating process themselves. This event is open to all residents of River City 21 East Towers I and Shinkawa.

Workshop "Eco-Art Making Experience
Event Details
Ayami will give a lecture on the materials and her creative process, which will help visitors feel more familiar with the artworks. After making paints by mixing tile waste generated at River City 21 Shinkawa with a binder (an adhesive that holds the pigment together), participants will be able to experience eco-art by actually trying out and painting with the finished paints. Children are also welcome to participate in this easy hands-on workshop.
No need to bring anything, you can come empty-handed to this workshop, which will include:
- Lecture on materials
- Eco Art Experience
Participants for this workshop will be able to view the eco-art created by Ayami in the River City 21 Shinkawa 7 Lounge.

- Viewing the artwork
<Explanation of exhibits>
Using materials that were to be discarded during the renovation of the building, the artist recreated the city of Sumida River and cherry blossoms.
The fusuma (sliding doors of the Japanese-style room) were used as the canvas,
Wallpaper was used as the base,
Kitchen tiles were used as white paint,
The copper wire from the electrical wiring was changed to blue-green paint.
Painting from scrap materials is Ayami’s way of expression to expand her awareness of the social and natural environment in which we live.

Ayami
Ayami was born in Nagasaki Prefecture in 1996 and lives in a camping-car. She creates "artworks that encourage viewers to think about the future" by facing local issues and thoughts of local producers at the places she visits, using local waste materials. She acts as a messenger through art to deliver information on various issues, thoughts, and the current situation to the rest of Japan.
<Thoughts behind the project>
In 2020, Ayami learned about the current state of coral reefs in Okinawa and began to think about the environment. She started her journey of turning scrap wood into art with the hope that her paintings would be useful in some way, but as she visited scrap wood sources, she learned that scrap wood was only the "result" of a set of broader social issues. Moreover, these social issues were all things that we are not conscious of even in our daily lives. If each one of us becomes aware of them, it will be a big step toward actually solving these issues. Ayami wondered if she could create an opportunity to bring about this awareness through my paintings. She keeps her works on hand for her own communication, but sells them when they are exhibited in places that have a strong connection with her works, and where they can be seen by many people.
